John Dove and Molly White
29.9 x 22 in
Provenance
The Siouxie T-shirt was part of a set of three Face T-shirts made for the opening of our shop at 22 Woodstock Street called Kitsch - 22 in November 1976. It was a mass media image transferred onto film with black over-painting so the effect was the same as a discharge print. The colours of the make up were hand-painted onto film for separate screens. In 1979, the T-shirt formed part of the BOY Blackmail Collection. it was photographed on our Assistant Wendy May by Sheila Rock. In November 1994, The Siouxsie T-shirt was shown at The ‘Street Style’ exhibition at the Victoria And Albert Museum and is now included in the V&A permanent collection. Recently we met with Paul Stolper to exhibit our collection of prints on handmade paper.
